Showcase: IT Services Company Integrates Knowledge Base

The Goal

An IT services company wanted to provide premium support articles and video tutorials exclusively to their active, paying clients. Perfex CRM’s default knowledge base was great, but they needed a more robust, blog-style layout with categories, tags, and deep theme customization.

The Implementation

They utilized PolyCMS to create a dedicated "Client Hub". Using the built-in Password Protection and a custom PolyCMS Plugin, they restricted access so that only clients logged into the Perfex Client Portal could read the articles.

Technical Highlights:

• Client Portal Integration: A custom PolyCMS plugin was written to check is_client_logged_in(). If a user wasn't logged in, they were redirected to the Perfex login screen.
• Advanced Search: Utilizing PolyCMS tags and categories, clients could quickly search for specific error codes or software tutorials.
• Brand Consistency: The PolyCMS theme was designed to perfectly match their Perfex CRM client portal, creating a seamless transition.
